Yesterday we travelled from Salt Lake City to Park City, and started our day off skiing the massive Park City (and Canyons) mountain. We had a very early start, and enjoyed breakfast at the Crystal Inn before hitting the road at around 7am.
Yesterday we focused mainly on the Park City side of the mountain, and even did the Town Lift, which gave us amazing views over Main St in Park City. We spent the full day skiing then turned in early and had a casual dinner in. My highlight of the day was when I saw a mouse, it was soooo cute, running across one of the cat tracks. The mouse was super cool but I was so disappointed we didn't see a bunny despite seeing hundreds of little bunny tracks.
Today was our last day skiing, and we made the most of it by exploring the entire mountain, after a breakfast at Queensland's own Campos coffee of course (best coffee in America so far by the way).
The Quicksilver Gondola was breathtaking; I can't believe there's a fucking gondola between mountains!
We had lunch at Cloud Dine which was highly recommended by every site that mentions Park City, and we agreed that it was an amazing place to eat.
I had a short ski day after lunch, and made my way back (via a very difficult to find Park City Marriot Shuttle) to the hotel and used the gym while Andrew kept on skiing until the absolute last minute. He even braved Widow Maker, and luckily the run was not true to it's name! Neither was Glory Hole...
We caught the Park City Marriot shuttle into Main St in the afternoon and made our way straight to High West's Saloon, and lucky we did since the place pretty much filled up and was turning people away at about 6pm. The whisky and food was amazing! We bought a bottle of the rendevous which was our favourite of the flight we tried.
Wandering around Main St was lovely. It was really cool seeing the Town Lift running, and we even saw a Banksy!
Tomorrow we're going to make an early start and brave the storm to Vegas, fingers crossed none of the roads are closed.
