The trip to Vegas started out a bit choppy as we drove through the weather warning in Utah. We were lucky that all the roads we took were cleared! The change in scenery over the 6h drive was incredible; from this:

We made a couple of quick stops along the way including to a McDonalds where the staff could not understand what the hell we were saying, MEDIUM LATTE, and at Mesquite for Lee's discount liquor, and finally arrived in beautiful Las Vegas just in time to get ready for dinner at Bellagio's Buffet, then to see Cirque du Soleil's O.
O was incredible! The story was very difficult to follow (Death made an appearance at the start but then seemed to never be mentioned again?) but the show was breathtaking; the custom built theatre made a huge difference to other shows we've seen. Our favourite part was the trapeze boat thing, and the high divers.
Our room has fountain views! We've watched a couple of shows already, both from our room and the street. We had a small look around the city (after a wicked ride in a Tesla, the doors open like the Delorean!) but are turning in early, well before midnight, since tomorrow morning we have an early start for the grand canyon tour.
