It's been a quick couple of days with minimal sleep!
Zumanity at New York, New York was really good, our favourite parts were the guy who did the chain trapeze thing, the martini glass girls, the little dude on silks, the cage fighters, and the couple that did the floor work dance. There was a little too much of the slapstick stuff for our liking, but the circus parts were so great that overall it was fantastic.
The next morning we had an early start so we could get to Magic Mountain early. We stopped half way at Peggy Sue's 50's diner where we had a delicious breakfast alongside about 50 bikers. Definitely recommend as the perfect place to stop between Vegas and Magic Mountain.
Magic Mountain was really cool! Sooo many rollercoasters, and thank god we bought the gold flash pass otherwise we wouldn't have gotten to do anywhere close to the amount we did. Our favourites where the Twisted Colossus, then X2 (Andrew skipped this one since it was twisty but it was my second fave), the SUPERMAN ride (worth it even though the ride went for less than 0.5% of the 1h wait time), and The Riddler's Revenge, a standing rollercoaster. The other roller coasters (Goliath, The New Revolution, Scream, Full Throttle) were all really good, but we've done similar or better versions of them elsewhere.
We then filled up at the most annoying Chevron/7Eleven petrol station (Chevron, never again), then went for dinner at In-n-Out burger which is a chain burger joint but has really good food. We both got the animal style cheeseburger, and I got it protein style, which means wrapped in lettuce, something I think everywhere should offer, so good man!
After a gruelling 4h night drive, we arrived at the Miner's Inn at Mariposa. This place is fantastic for the price, and we were really impressed with the breakfast this morning which was advertised as a continental breakfast but had a few hot options, make-you-own waffles, and boiled eggs in little containers, so cute!
We're just waiting to catch the 10am bus to Yosemite for some hiking!
