Iva New Balkan Cuisine was absolutely worth the hype. The food was incredible! Every dish was a winner, and I inhaled the moussaka.
The puzzle is really close now!
Yesterday we tried the famous Moscow Cake at the Moscow Hotel, then headed out to the Residence of Prince Miloš for an amazing tour organised by Iva and Michael for the visiting group.
The tour, which was more of a guided lecture, was incredible. Everyone raved about it, and I think we all learned a lot about the history of the area, Yugoslavia, and why religion is so important for identity even though people aren’t very religious (something that has always puzzled me). The most impressive part was how passionately the guides spoke, and how knowledgable they were.
The beautiful Rubin restaurant was another amazing meal, with a beautiful view. I was so tempted to get more pleskavita, but got a delicious beef cheek dish and we accidentally ordered more potatoes than even I could eat.
Andrew and I did another run this morning; Andrew’s was a whopping 25km that circled all around where Rubin restaurant was, and up some questionable trails, mine was about 5km around the Danube and Sava river confluence. Looking forward to a slower day today, with the main event tomorrow!
