This morning we woke up to see the dolphins playing outside our accommodation, it seems like this is the place to be! At the Dolphin Encounter this morning we actually had to wait for them to make their way up from there to the encounter area. The encounter was lovely, there was so many dolphins! It’s truly amazing seeing them come right up and choose to be close by to everyone.
Today we had a 2.5h wildlife cruise on the Aristocat2 where we saw a turtle (while still moored), lots of dolphins, and a mother dugong with her calf. Thank god I brought a cardigan, it was freezing! I can’t believe Andrew braved the boom net, he said it was fun but he had actually turned blue.
We had a fish and chips lunch at the Boughshed, a nap, and spent the rest of the day reading on the beach, and watching the dolphins. I also really enjoyed collecting some shells, they are really beautiful at the beach outside our accommodation.
Tonight we’ll continue having our BBQ pack (I think we’ll easily stretch it out to 3 nights, especially with the sneaky stolen pepper from Boughshed) and enjoy the incredible view. Once the sun sets we might try and enjoy one of the terrible movies from the movie schedule.
Tomorrow we’ll do the encounter again (we’ll do it each day I think, it was so lovely) and then head out to Denham and maybe Eagle Bluff.
