This year I took the 3d of leave to get 10d off between Easter and ANZAC day, and I think I made the most of it!
Easter with family was lovely, the eggs turned out beautiful this year.
I bought a MacBook Air to replace my tired old work laptop that was on it’s last legs, and started doing some Swift tutorials (it’s a lot harder than I thought, but I’m slowly getting the hang of it!).
I varnished the front door, which was looking really sad and tired. The bottom now looks quite different, but apparently varnish can bring out the tannins in wood that’s been through a bit of damage. I think it adds character!
I put up festoon lights, but there’s a whole dedicated write up for that adventure!
Dressed up as Sporty Spice for a “come as your favourite sport star” 21st party (at least the adults knew who I was).
I planted some hopefully hardy plans along the very narrow and sandy fence line, hopefully they take! I’ll do the entire length if they survive.
Drank some more delicious beer, even though there was a missed “trinity (triple) IPA”, or “red pilsner” opportunity with this one.
I used my gift for a float and massage at Clear Mind Studio to unwind after all the jobs, was really wonderful! I enjoyed the larger float pool, way more room to float without hitting the walls when compared to the pod style floats.
We celebrated Uncle Rod’s 80th, and Tammy’s birthday (but all I got was a photo of the Pancho hat, and hopefully no nits!)
And after all that I needed a fresh set of nails. Back to work tomorrow!
