This year I had another lovely birthday, was really happy to get to celebrate a bit more than last year which felt too COVIDy for anything too big.
The week of birthday celebrations started with classes at Flying High, where Ben surprised me with an awesome balloon arrangement. Check out the printing, that's his son's handywork! Thanks Ben, Caroline and the Tays! And thanks to the level 3 babes who sang me happy birthday :)
Dinner at Lupo Lab with Andrew' family was lovely. The food, drinks, view and service were great as always; the bergamot panna cotta was a standout.
Sunday started off with Andrew joining my regular handstands class and killing it at strength week, then the footy (which was a disappointing result, but a really exciting game), and then an incredible French dinner at La Bastide (the vanilla and basil creme brulee was incredible).
Next week we did the traditional thing of cramming way too many people into our tiny house and celebrating with way too much food and drinks!
It was so nice to have the family over beforehand. My mum outdid herself with gogosi and meatballs for days, and it was just too sweet watching Mina and Ava meet again.
Thank you to everyone for coming along and making it an awesome night! The "photo when you leave" tradition lives on.
Special thanks to those that made it till sunrise.
37 isn't so bad :)
