Our short trip to Canberra to meet little Olga was lovely, she is just a perfect little doll and I can’t wait to watch her grow up!
Look at these tiny little clothes! Of course she has no choice but to be a Freo supporter.
It was so nice to spend some time with Iva, Michael and Nenna, and we survived the cold but it was honestly touch and go at a few points there, many a Hot Hands were cracked.
We even went for an early morning run around Lake Burley Griffin which we had to delay a bit because, Canberra problems, the floor was slippery due to ice. We were grateful to avoid slipping into the lake. The jam doughnut coffee at Ona afterwards was the warmest, most delicious warm coffee ever.
Capital Brewing at Canberra airport is a great way to wait for your flight, although Andrew was jealous of all the people waiting in their ski gear.
On our way over to Canberra we stopped for a night in Sydney to see Little Simz at the Horden Pavillion and wowee she was excellent.
I laughed way too hard at my meal on the flight over, the eggs are what now?! Yvonne wants to know what came first, the screaming or the egg?
We also squeezed in a few cool bars. Maybe Sammy was a unique and fun experience, would definitely recommend!
The Baxter Inn had a seriously impressive whisky list, and The Lobo was a great place to have a late drink and Belles Hot Chicken was great, but Draskos still wins!
Some other bits and pieces from first half of 2023…
Happy birthday Bobby!
Sludgefest 2023 at DTC was another good year (everyone enjoyed it, I thought the one IPA on tap was great).
Check out our collective painting talent from Flying High, maybe more talent on the sip side than the painting side, but those swirls are a lot harder to do than they look!
Circus After Dark at the Rechabite was a really fun night, but unfortunately this time I didn't go home with 3 containers of edamame.
Muscle up progress, Level 3 babes/boys, and to finish, a little doubles plank/handstand.
