Christmas 2020 and NYE 2021

Happy new year!!

This year we did the usual split of Christmas across two days; Christmas day at Andrew's parent's place, with Michael and Iva over from Canberra, and Boxing Day at my parents place, where we greatly missed Yvy, Sim, and the boys. The food and company was fantastic as always!

NYE at Besk was really fun, and the great beers certainly didn't hurt! We decided to do something a little different this year and not go to The Garden again, mostly because we thought it was worth givnig something else a go, but also because Greg was here this year. I think Besk as a venue was really good, and although it was crowded, it wasn't absolutely packed, but I think anywhere would work if you have a good group of friends to celebrate with!

And some other bits and pieces to finish off the year.

2020 - A wrap up pre-Christmas

So glad to see the end of 2020! 

It's been such a bizarre year, but looking back since my last post, we actually have done a fair few "normal" things!

Went out for Sakura icecream with Ava, who also had a 4th birthday this year!

Went to Marumo for the first time, it was worth the wait and the crazy booking experience:

Celebrated Georgia's birthday, and marriage! Ps that move won us the sex position "musical chairs" game, the prize was a MAC lipstick and defintiely worth the sore hip the next day:

Stayed at the Esplenade in Freo, got a drink at Gimlet, ate at Tonic and Ginger, and saw Pond (and Peter Bibby, which was unique experience):

Went down south with friends, stayed in Eagle Bay, had lunch at Amelia park, went wine tasting, spent >$400 on wine, chopped some wood:

Had our Immersive Christmas Party at Optus Stadium:

Had a delicious high tea at Chinta (where the bamboo insisted on being horizontal):

Bought some shoes that are NOT made for walking:

Performed in the Flying High Christmas Showcase:

And then finished off a hectic year with a much needed break! We also saw Pond again at the Rechabite, but not only did I not get a single photo, but I also lost my hair lacky, a belly button ring, and left covered in everyone else's sweat from the unexpected mosh pit. Looking back, Perth is so lucky right now!
